    What kinda hypocrisy ...

This is why I always tell people if you want to make a difference and help animals in shelters do no give to PETA do not give to HSUS, support your local shelter, volunteer time, give money directly to them, give food, adopt.

PETA is not an animal welfare organization and never has been but they market themselves as one so the ignorant support them. The same goes for HSUS.

PETA also runs one of the highest kill-rate animal shelters in Virginia.

Wow..... Unbelievable!! Any idea which Shelter this is??

Here's a Peta article all about this from February...

I donate to the "The Treasure Hound" thrift store here in Northern Va. It supports Friends Of Homeless Animals,

I have no association with them

They state a No Kill Shelter http://www.foha.org/index.php?id=19

And my Local vet Deepwood, runs a shelter also.... https://deepwoodveterinaryclinic.com...rces/adoption/

I have no association with them except as a customer to their veterinary services

This is just really sad to read. But I guess that’s what they’re all about. Taking the flaws of snake owners and turning it against them.

Many people, breeder or owner truly put the animal first! And truly care! And even if their facts are true, it’s a small percentage of individuals, but that’s what they choose to exploit. Instead of banning the ownership of snakes, they should be directing their focus on helping to properly care for the animals(if they ‘care’ about the mistreatment of them). That would be more useful then this article.

Here are their overall stats from last year:

Note that PETA is in Norfolk, VA. Compare their stats to those of the Norfolk municipal shelter:

These people make me sick. They point fingers at the reptile industry when they themselves kill thousands!
