What did you end up getting? I am going through a lot of the same questions that you have here and did not see this thread until today? Did you find out your question on the water tight seal (I would have never thought of that)?

AP told me that they will come with glue to create a seal. AP also included a divider for their T3 model for an extra 25 bucks. THey sent me an email yesterday telling me my order shipped and the Fedex tracking pages says delievery is expected tomorrow!! I will post on the final results tomorrow night when i get them. So far their reputation precedes them. Great customer service, answered all my questions and I ordered over the phone due to my special requirement (divider for the cage).

I understand where you are comming from phoenix. I really really really wanted the boaphile 321Townhouse enclosures. THey just look soooo sharp and boaphile has a really nice website with lots of info and pix and options and just everything. APs website is quite lacking compared to boaphiles, but in the end I gotta take the advice of of the people with experience. Do I want to wait up to 2 months to get my cages? AP sent mine in 8 days. Do i want to wait days and weeks for replys to my emails and phonecalls, AP responded same day for both my emailed questions and my called-in order. AP really lives up to their reputation as far as customer service goes, I'll get back to you on their quality tomorrow.

the glue they sent with mine was 3m black silicone adhesive you can see the bead in my cage pic's her if you look in the top corner. http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=26770

very nice barely noticeable and more than enough to seal the whole cage. im ordering a new biger ap cage 6 footer with a devider for my 2 dragons. they will have all the room to play and if i need to seprate them it will be easy.

Hey great thanks! The wait would be not fun but really it is the fact that the light can only go inside which makes me a little nervous about the boaphiles. I have just heard that they could wrap the bulb and burn themselves or just break it --- either way -- I want her safe. So that has been my main concern with boaphiles. Since I keep my house in the upper 60s -- I do have to use multiple heat sources to ensure her temp is comfy.

I will look forward to how the new set up is and will check in tomorrow....I would love to make a decision by Monday and get something on order.

Thanks again!! This is really a great forum!

the light sorce is inside the ap cage as well. it is a fluresent fixture with a high grade silent (no hum baslist) it gives off little or no heat. once again if you look to the top of the pics i posted you will see the white fixture mounted to the top of the cage. it is quite well though out. theres no way ginger can get in contact with the bulb even if she tryed and if some how she did no way for her to get burned by it. hope all this helps. its a big desision and my set up cost alot but its her home for a better part of 25 to 30 years if im lucky. i think its worth it to do it right...

I love my ball room rack from boaphile. The only thing I disliked was that I was supposed to get an email letting me know when my rack would ship....I never got an email. But the rack showed up, and it works great. It did also take about 7 weeks to get to me, but I was expecting that would happen :(

A quick google search will get you the websites. Though with everyone referring Animal Plastics as AP so much I couldn't find the site at first either when I looked many moons ago.

    Re: Boaphile cages
Well, my package was delivered to my parents' at about noon today. I picked it up and took it home (its a pain getting packages at my appartment) and upon opening it up i discovered that there is only one cage! I was expecting 2 so i felt sorta let down. I got to thinking they may have just sent the first one early because the 2nd one is a special order with a divider.

Anyway, all the pieces are undamaged as it was packed very well. It has a page of instructions, I think some pictures would have made the instructions a little better, but its not very complicated anyway. Hopefully assembly goes well, im gonna work on it after lunch and Ill post (with some pics) with the final result!

JT- Have you gotten your second cage? And how was the assembly? Asking because I just ordered my AP this week. Decided on it mainly because I need to use an additional heat source (lamp) to keep the temp right so did not like the idea that the heat lamp woudl be inside of the boaphile cage (just had nightmares about her wrapping it and breaking). Went with the AP and had a great customer service on the phone. These forums really helped!!!
