I have a few males that regularly fast between Halloween and Easter, though they eat like pigs the rest of the year. I just monitor their weight and offer a feeder every few weeks over the winter.

My male usually does the exact same. Except last year he fasted from May to September and then ate through the entire winter. Has only refused 2-3 meals in a year now. I gave up trying to figure him out years ago and opted for a boa/Morelia garbage disposal crew for his refusals instead.

As far as I can tell, (and going by the advice of the members here on the thread and in messages) his enclosure setup and temps were normal. I was surprised at how little weight he lost during the strike. If this happens again I think weight loss will be how I judge his health. He's been eating regularly since March and actually outgrew a hide.
His sheds are prefect and he's glossy and gained back the little weight he lost.

I think this was an unusually long strike, but I'm glad he's healthy. We're going to have to re-socialize him a bit since we stopped handling him while we were trying to coax him to eat.

Great news as I said previously .. if he ever refuses a feed please give the tried and trusted ‘hairdryer’ method ...
