Efficiency is definitely something I think of when buying items like this. That's why im leaning 3.5 cf.
Knowing you can fit all that in yours gives me peace of mind. I'll never need anything more than med rats and two of mine will be on hoppers for life. So even if I add another snake or three I'll still have ample room.
That particular model seems to fit all my specs and is more affordable than others I looked at. Thanks for sharing!!!
My pleasure.

For an extra $5 I'd consider the larger model. Better too much than not enough imo. I have the 5.0 cf unit and it's perfect. Granted, I have 11 snakes. That Bredli of yours will very likely eat large or jumbo rats as an adult. All of my adult carpets eat large and occasionally jumbo rats.

That's exactly my other train of thought. It's only $5. I may never NEED the space, but it's there if I do! Knowing myself I'll probably go 5cf since I'm an overkill kinda guy.
...and yeah, the Bredli girl will probably end up on larges eventually. But Casey's stock is on the smaller side and I'm gonna take my time growing her out, so time will tell...
Re: Chest freezer advice??
I’ve got a 3.5 cubic foot arctic king and it’s a surprisingly large amount of space for dedicated feeder storage. Granted, mine hasn’t been in use since last fall due to a couple unexpected changes/debacles in my snake keeping agenda, but nonetheless... if you play a good game of Tetris it will hold a substantial quantity of prey for a modest collection of snakes. Though for $5 more for the 5 cubic foot model imagine all the additional snakes that would become more affordable to feed [emoji48]

A review on a Lowes 5.0 Freezer said the following that was interesting.
"I would recommend this freezer. I replaced an old refer I had in the garage that I no longer used the refer. This gave me more space in the garage and 3 times more freezer space. I purchased 2 additional sliding baskets from the manufacture and 4 plastic baskets from "The Container Store" to improve my ability to locate items and to eliminate having to dig through everything in order to find one item."
Here is a link to the Lowes 5.0 freezer you might have seen this already. I thought the tip was good on the review though.

Thank you! That is a good tip. I did plan on using tubs or baskets to organize the prey. That's one food thing I got out of the restaurant biz I guess, hahahaha
