    There is no swelling or oozing, just looks like a bruise under a scale and a bit of red, puffy skin in between the scales. I thought maybe this is how scale rot started before it turned brown and we never really noticed because most snakes aren't white.

    Nice to have at least one or the other on hand (Betadine or Vetericyn) but as noted, only use if skin is actually broken. I think he's fine as is.
    This is likely very common on snakes, but most are darker in color so we just don't see it. Scale rot looks very different, but it never hurts to ask. ;)

    Thank you. I want to order some so I have it on hand for any future injuries.

    Indeed. I want it to order to have it on hand for any future need not to use it now.

    I was also just thinking that I would never see these marks on my other snake due to his coloring. Perhaps I am too neurotic to have a white snake where every mark shows.

    :rofl:Trust me, you're not the first to find out the hard way that whether it's white carpeting in your house, or an albino pet snake, everything (except flour & baby powder) shows up on white, lol.
