Re: Second reptiles: How soon is too soon?
    1. Is this a fad or is it truly a passion?

I went 20 years before I had more than 5.

    2. Can I afford care for them both monetarily and time wise?

    3. If I have the time, will another one mean too much time spent and I will lose my passion?

I have 12, down from 13, and soon to be 13 again. That's my limit time wise without it being a "job."

    4. If I get another one, will I still be able to do more than the minimum for my others and properly care for them.

    5. If my resources (time, money, space, etc.) are limited, if I get this animal, will I still be able to get the species/animals I want, or will I regret this addition and resent the animal?

I just got my second reptile (uromastyx) after having my BP for 1.5 years. For me I learned about the species, thought about how cool they were, and couldnt stop thinking about them. Before I knew it, I was accumulating equipment "just in case". And then I put it all together and before I knew it I had a complete enclosure setup.
