Re: First-time Owner Juvenile BP Feeding Difficulties
I have a tub and bedding and hoppers. I could not find a thermostat, so I will likely need to order one. Do I really have a hatchling BP? I am very very worried now.

Average bp size out of the egg is 45 to 75 grams so yes. Chances are this animal was also never started properly by the time an hatchling has 3 to 5 meals he should be in the 75 to 100 grams range.

Alright, I still haven't figured out how to do pics. He has been relocated to a 6qt tub with aspen bedding, a hide, and a water dish. The temps are still reaching what they likely need to be. What now?

Again follow thebarticle to a T it has everything you need in it, that means leave the animal alone for a week before offering food
And if you are using your heat mat without being regulated unplug it IMMIDIATELY

Make sure the hides are snug for him, he needs two on both the warm and cooler side. I would leave him alone to settle, and make sure the lid is secured well.
Hook the UTH to a thermostat if you haven't already., and check the temps with a temp gun. Don't use the UTH unless its hooked to one, because it can overheat and hurt your snake.
I know when I got my snake, I didn't handle him unless completely necessary for at least 3 weeks to allow him to settle, and also not until he was eating consistently.. My snake's warm side is kept at 88-90 for basking, and the cold side is at 78-80. He is also kept in a 10 gallon glass, and I keep the walls of the tank covered to provide extra security. They are highly sensitive to stress.

Late here, but Stewart_Reptiles has your best interests at heart. Listen to her.
ALL HEAT SOURCES MUST BE REGULATED BY THERMOSTAT. Get one. Yesterday. If you have questions on what or where to get, just ask.
It's hard because we all want to fiddle. However, leave the BP alone until it eats several meals. That doesn't mean try again now. Get temps and humidity right, hides right, etc. Then leave the animal alone to settle in. It's what's best for it. It needs to eat and won't if you don't leave it alone.
Its life is in your hands. Please listen here and do what's best for it.
Glad you posted and asked questions, that's the first step, now go to step two which is listening to the GOOD advice you've gotten.

Not in a 6qt tub. One hide is enough.

You're right. Thank you for correcting that- it's been a long day! :)

Re: First-time Owner Juvenile BP Feeding Difficulties
The thermostat just came in today so I am now confident that the warm side will be regulated. Since I had to move him around, should I wait a week from this point to feed him or in 5 days?
