    I have mine roughly 4 inches down from the top of tank. Every enclosure is different though. My enclosures are only 12" high and it took some maneuvering to get it right.

    Great point.

    OP - There's more than one right way to do things. So you'll need to tweak things to work out best for you and your setup. There's going to be some trial and error. If you find yourself having any doubts or second guessing trying something different you can always ask and we'll help you out.
