Are incomplete sheds dangerous to a snake's health?

Yup at the time he was 8-10 months old so 2”-3” bad shed on his tail was nothing to a 20 yr old kid (me). I was ignorant as hell. Now at 14.5’ thats a lot he lost.. healthy as a horse though.
