Thank you. Aurora is beautiful for sure. So bright and vibrant. So calm and awesome. Luna (Brazilian) is wonderful as well. She is not one that I let others handle. She is still a baby at around 10 months old she is still small and easy to get hurt or scared. I do like showing her off though.

At the age when you are old enough to have plenty of educated, responsible experience keeping reptiles and are properly prepared to handle the risks and responsibilities associated with taking primitive, predatory animals in to a public situation, which can present a myriad of variables that could adversely affect the behavior of the creatures you are responsible for, not to mention the well being of the individuals interacting with them...

the point is, age is not the most important factor for animals or humans. experience, education, preparedness, presentation, responsibility and accountability are just some of the qualities u would want to have. simply having animals u want to share or enthusiasm is not a replacement. this is not a casual thing. we want good ambassadors for our animals and community.

Age is not as important as the animal and how it copes with busy, crowded, and sometimes not so gentle handling. Most people are super gentle with them. I have never had anyone, besides myself, handle them a little on the rough side. I am in their face, I move their heads and tails around.... the ones I take out have proven in a controlled environment to be good animal ambassadors. I also do secessions with more experienced keepers before I step them up to the more public ones. By then they are all use to being handled by quite a few people. Keep in mind that not every animal is good or ok to do this with. Some are super stressed easily. Also the ones I use regularly could be stressed, become stressed, in shed, or various other issues that might arise.
The photos don't show a lot more than the animals being handled. There is a lot of prep work. Most of the time, I am just stepping back just long enough to let the photo be taken. I am right there just out of the photo, ready, prepared, and watchful. A lot of the photos are people who I know personally and have spent lots of time with my animals and regularly accept the risk. NO KID IS ALLOWED AT ALL TO HOLD THEM UNLESS THE PARENT GIVES CONSENT. That is a huge rule.
So much goes into actually getting ready and after as well. Container prep and cleaning. Animal prep and cleaning. Taking extra time to get some of them moving and woke up, giving them time to poop and pee, etc.... before the public get to see them is part of the deal. Watchful eyes of myself and my helpers is important. (yes I have help).
NOT EVERYONE SHOULD DO THIS!
