What a coincidence! I just had my cataract surgery on Friday in my right eye!! I had a retinal detachment last summer and the vitrectomy caused a catatact. I had 2 drops 4 times a day as well! Kind of annoying, but necessary haha. I'm a -13 I think, but now I can see more or less without glasses in my right eye. Still need a very strong prescription for my left, though. Huge difference in vision between eyes. Now I either wear my contact in my left eye or my glasses, which I modified to cover the right eye like a patch. I wish you a quick recovery!!

Well if everyone on this forum gets cataracts, I'm just gonna take my ball & go home, This is starting to sound contagious...;)

LOL. I don't think it's catching. :P My opthomologist once told me "You have such interesting eyes"...He meant medically.. I told him I'd rather have "boring" "normal" eyes LOL. I have retinopathy of prematurity which is a condition I've had since birth, so I get retina issues along with the congenital cataracts. :/

Well that's just not fair... Of course it's near-impossible to get thru life without some sort of issues, but I'm just surprised at how young the members are in this thread
that are having these kinds of issues (that I associate with much older folks).

I would love to have normal eyes. Even normal "bad" eyes. But I thank God I can still see with the aid of contacts and glasses.

Glad to hear you're on the mend Chris. Just remember that everyday spent on this side of the grass, is a good day. All of the rest, is just part of the journey my friend.
