    Yes I have a thermostat for my UTH and getting one in the mail in the next few days for the heat lamp on top of tank.

    I've been using heat lamps since I started keeping snakes almost 20 years ago.

    Yes, it's true, they do zap humidity. But, as long as you use a good substrate and have a decent sizes water bowl it shouldn't be hard to keep your humidity in the 50s.

    And all heat sources should be regulated by a thermostat.
