    I need help
I’m trying to find another vet but it’s about a 2 hr drive to the nearest one that will see reptiles where I’m located! I’m trying to figure something out to help him, I have sooo many snakes and have never seen anything like this! [emoji31][emoji2358]

I say get some gas and get ready to drive 2 hours.. you need a different vet.

My guess is that it probably is an abcess, and that it is gonna need to be surgically cleaned out.

See I thought so too, but this last week I took him back and he said “ I don’t thinks it’s an abscess that can be drained “ well what the heck is it then? I mean it has to be something!! He also thought it might be from rubbing on his tub.

That looks crazy! Its a good thing that he hasn't lost weight and is still eating but I would definitely try to get to another vet for a second opinion if nothing else. Just like everyone else here I'm no vet but it seems like your primary vet is missing something. I hope everything works out. Good luck.

Sadly many vet have limited hands on experience with dealing with snakes, mouth abscesses are often due to a broken tooth or in some cases a prey that bites the inside of the mouth or another type of injury and can develop months after an the original problem issue. Considering the extent surgery is most likely to be your next step to remove the caseous pus followed by anti-biotic treatment.

Here is how you can find a Herp vet in your area http://thereptilereport.com/category/vet-directory/ - https://arav.site-ym.com/search/custom.asp?id=3661

I second the motion on finding another vet one that specializes in Exotics.
Did you say he was eating with his face like that?
