Re: Ceramic Heat Emitter Suddenly Not Hot??
I'm new to bp care, about 3 months, and just today experienced the same thing with my Che. Barely heating at all. When I removed it out of the dome a chunk of solder fell out. Didn't know they could partially burn out. I also have a glass enclosure, one medium and a 40 gallon she will be moving to this weekend, and my temps and humidity are steady in both. The bigger one has insulation on 3 sides and they both have plexiglass lids. The lids are the key to humidity I believe. Just my experience so far. Hope you get it dialed back in. The people here are very helpful and knowledgeable.

I have an exoterra for my little guy and a PVC enclosure for my older snake. Honestly, I prefer the PVC, but you can make an exoterra work. I have my lid completely covered in plexi glass and I am using a radiant heat panel for heat, bolted through the screen lid and into the plexi glass sheet, per the instructions of the guy at pro products, and it is working well. I have to mist every couple of days to keep the humidity up, but that isn't a problem for me. I don't know if it would hold humidity as well if I left part open for a CHE.
