    nice daniel, same thing I do only I used short screws and washers to secure the hardware cloth so I can easily remove the mesh if i need to...i don't know why that would be necessary though. Your tubs look nice and secure with the zip ties. With the smaller mouse tubs I only mesh about half the lid to give them a little bit more secure feeling and just put holes in that portion of the lid my mice have always been a bit more jumpy than the rats.

    Do you get alot of acrobats in your tubs? When the rodents are wanting something...food or just attention mine like to hang upside down from the mesh.

    yep...some like to 'hangout' up there...but I have not noticed any relationship to food or attention......I just have crazy mice :psychotic:

    Zip ties are great....and you get like 100 for 75 cents so they are cheap too :)

    no chewing issues on those ties? that was the reason I went with bolt/washer route initially.

    nope...no chewing issues so far...but with mice, you never know...so that is something I will have to monitor....i put so many freakin' ties that they would be at it for a year before they could get out :)
