Ditto to dakski. Give her a few days with zero handling before trying to feed as described.
No one thinks you've messed up horribly. Horribly is the people that do zero research and wait until a snake is an anorexic skeleton or has obvious burns before thinking there is a problem. First skipped meal is just a minor hiccup that is easily remedied with the feeding suggestions made. And just a personal vent, I don't know why anyone still suggests separate feeding bins when it's been proven over and over again to be nothing but negative or just time wasting at best. I have had or bred hundreds of snakes from Kings, corns, rats, womas, boas, burm.. all eat in their enclosures and all have had zero aggression related to it. The internet is an amazing tool when it comes to information but the other issue is that everyone can share their 2 cents if it's correct or not. I got kicked out of a FB group for making suggestions the admin disagreed with. Turns out, the kid has only owned 2-3 snakes for less than 2 years but thinks his methods are gold [emoji1751]

Lately, I've been seeing this "feed in separate container" all over reddit. It's very frustrating. It seems like it's mostly new, inexperienced keepers who recommend this method of feeding. Some will try to say that their vet recommended it and that they are going to listen to the vet over snake keepers. Yes, please trust someone who likely has zero experience with snakes over people who have been keeping them for years or even decades...

That is very frustrating. I'm not trying to discredit vets but when it comes to reptiles, short of being able to do blood work, cultures and x-rays, I'm more likely to take advice from my other breeder friends too if I think there is a problem.

This isn't to make any additional suggestions, since I think that's all been very well covered, but I just wanted to commend you for how responsive and receptive you've been to feedback. You're still doing a great job overall, and we can all see that you care very much about Imani and Nyah and want what's best for them.

I'd love to see pictures of them sometime, and to hear the origin stories of their names!
