    Also use sweet pdz under the bedding. You can get 40lbs in from walmart.com for $20 if you dont have a tractor supply around.

    Well that gives me plenty to think about then.

    I was thinking that the temperature extremes in the garage may be too much, I'll have to do more research into that, but I'm planning on building an insulated and temperature controlled shed/barn behind the house soon anyway.

    I'm getting the feeling that my reptile collection/breeding plans/possible addition of rats may outgrow the room they are currently in and an outbuilding may be the only route to go down.

    Mostly because we just FINALLY bought the house after living in it for 7 years paying rent to my sister-in-law, so moving to a larger house is not an option at the moment, and the eventual addition of a master suite is still a few years off.:(

    With 24 Breeder females + babies from 6 of them I am currently using about 2 bags of Pine Shavings ($6) per month and a 50 LB bag of mazuri Rat food per month.
