Ok.I have heard these types of post a few times sense I have joined this site amongothers,

Longstory short, I fed my Spell live small rats, in a separate tub, her entirefirst year with me. She is a late 2016 hatchling from Dynasty, so when I got hershe was on live rat hoppers.
I did a lil ritual of tapping on her glass enclosuresand then hide, then would remove her, leave the hopper in the box or crittercage for a few mins to entice her some, as she would explore it, I wouldrelease the rat. Maybe 7-10 missed feedings possibly due to all the movingaround pre feed. But even when she would refuse, I would do it again the maybea day or so later or and she’d eat –this seriously made me almost buy anothersnake ugh!-wasting my $5:mad:
Allthis to say she only bit me 1x feeding time, in her new front facing rack, as Idid decide on this style of rack due to the more likely feeding responses I haveread and enjoyed the past year and change sense (0 missed meals)–
I knew it was my fault for not realizing how close shewas to my hand when I opened the tub, so all my fault. She actually said sorryafter she ate lol… but I say all this because even after that mistake it has never happened again, even during cleanings, she isno doubt very easily handled .. never in strike mode when being handled, and has justthe sweetest disposition, I am sure this is due to our initial relationship I began from 150-160gs to her current 1978gs :D
I know they don’t have emotions and such .. I am sure these animals have personalities of their ownweather we choose to believe so or not...

thoughvery primal, and instinctual – no need to badger me on that, I know reptiles donot share the mental capabilities as other pets but it’s my belief that EVERYanimal can be stimulated by satisfying basic needs such as Maslow’s Higher Archeryof Needs just as I did with my Jaguar Cichlid “Gill” .. yes he was trained lol .. loop-dee-loopwhen I’d tap on the glass for his feedings .. it took almost a year of constant “training, but as I read in my phycology book, they compared something in that manner andsaid “it would be as hard as teaching a fish how to do…” , well.. let’s justsay that was always a sight for my friends when I would show them I had my fishas trained like my pit-bulls (same deal) lol (not soo much this was a one-trick – fish lol)..but again if the proper situations are available all animals will respond tosome extent.
Spelldoes not do loop-dee-loop, but she used to corkscrew (she has spider in her),that has almost disappeared now. But I’m sure you all get my point. In thewords of Kevin Garnett, “ ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!” lmfao!! :gj:
    good luck either way.. :salute:
