    The longest I think food lasted was about a solid minute. It was huddled i the corner And my girl didn't see it right away.
    Most times they are in the coil within 10 seconds.

    my precious girl has become quite forward
    24 years feeding my male live. No injury to that snake and that Snake has never struck at me. I do feed Fresh Kill & Frozen now as its safer & actually easier as I breed and freeze extra. I say if you got Tagged it was NOT a feed response. We can only speculate here. Each snake is also different. Not sure what happened, but with the way you explained, it sounds as if it stuck at heat (warning). If it wanted to eat it would have followed through Not pecked anyone.

    Thanks Christen, I agree all any of us can do is speculate, but it seems right that she was saying "hey get out of here"
