    If you have your substrate deep enough to raise the snake up closer to the heat source, a UTH will be useless to you. Sounds like you need to switch to an RHP to get your temps up without dropping humidity levels.

    I've decided to stick with what we've got since she just shed and despite my worries it was a perfect "tube sock" she'd without a single problem. I'm just an over worrier I think sometimes. She's our only ball and everyone else is a colubrid (cornsnakes and a milksnake) and they just don't need the humidity levels as a ball.
