    Next time just leave the baby alone :) Deb is right, it will make it or it won’t. Messing with it in the egg only lessens it’s chances. If it had died, you would know it eventually by the smell and cloudiness. Curiosity led you to “check” and made zero positive difference. Sorry but true. Any time I cut it was many days after first pip and a slit the width of the average size head. Never even peaked inside. Just in and out fast as possible. The surprise is most of the fun in this ya know.

    In the future just keep in mind no one is trying to be mean or negative. These are live animals and need proper care, when you ask for advice people are gunna tell you what you should do due to years of experience, it may hurt your pride a bit but understand it's for the best of your live animals.

    Understand as well not every snake makes it outta a clutch, you can wind up with ones who just do not make it by either drowning, having birth defects or poor nutrition during gestation.
