LOL This guy will be 10 ft easily. Corn snakes are 5-6 ft. But I love your optimism, I really do :D :gj:

Kalatoa is 5-7ft with some females occasionally hitting 9ft...
If you get a pure kalatoa to can get a small one...
I'm fully expecting 10ft from my guy, 5ft would be an antibiotic climax tbh...

Quite a few sub 5ft breeding SD males about if you do some digging.

    Hector's progress thread.
Wow ... I'd be scared of the snake grabbing or biting down on the sharpish metal tongs ...especially holding the body upright ..

I use plastic kitchen tongs , warm the rodent well with a hairdryer and dangle it upside down - held by the tail .. as I understand Royals just strike at the ' heat-signal' not the rat shape ...

I usually hold the rat by the tail tbh, it was for the video.
My boas have a good aim tho, Hector's a bit manic so I might have to rethink that if he gets some serious size lol.
Cheers rich, I'm not just saying this cause he is new, retics are actually awesome... Well this one is at least.
Seems to be puppy dog tame ATM but very very alert with it. I've never had a snake that actively comes to see ya (for whatever reason, probably food) nearly Everytime I walk up to his tank.
I think their eyesight must be fantastic, the big eyes give character too as he eyeballs me.
I hope he keeps his inquisitive nature and doesn't turn into a lazy
Sedate snake like Brian barczyk's Lucy seems to be.
