I use sandpaper to remove any rough or sharp edges - it takes very little effort for the result. :)

I get most of my hides at the dollar store. Big plastic serving bowls for medium snakes, desk side garbage cans cut in half for smaller snakes. And for my largest BP I just got a cheap plastic litter box (upside down). Just cut holes as needed
