My guy should be on small rats, but the rats here are huge, so we feed him 2 adult mice every 5-7 days. We give him one and when he has it down, we give him the next.

Ah, I see. Would it be better to use your solution and give him his second mouse after he has it down? I didn't know if I should just leave him his two meals where I usually do

Are you feeding f/t? If so, just leave them if that’s what you do. We feed live, so we wait til he’s got one down. :)

Yup, I do feed f/t:D He tends to eat his food when I'm away. Only once have I actually saw him eat. So thankfully, it'll be easier on my part too, for giving him his food. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, just leave them and let him do his thing.

Last night, I did leave them. But he did not eat them this time. I can see that he moved one off the paper, but they're both still there. What should I do??

Don't sweat it. Just wait and offer again in a week.

Sure thing:) As for the mice, do I just toss them?
Also, how come he didn't eat? What's the reasons for a ball python not wanting to eat even though he's eaten previously before? Does it have something to do with shedding?

So it seems like there should be a lot built up, but there really isn’t.

That's what's happened with mine. He just pooped with his first shed and I've had him a month. He had eaten three times before his poop.
