In the winter, when the air is really dry, I almost always have my humidifier on in the room. Also a wet towel covering most of the screen top helps a lot also.

I have a glass tank and just started using coco fiber, the condensed bricks and my humidity is almost too much :) I had foil covering my mesh top and had to take it off to get to appropriate humidity levels.

How deep is your substrate? If you have most of the screen covered with foil or whatever, and the CHE still dries it out, that means you need a larger reservoir of moisture that can evaporate into the air over the course of the day, with enough surface area for that to happen effectively. Misting with a spray bottle won’t do that, you’ll tire out your hand before you add enough water to last.

But if you make your substrate deeper, like 3”+, you can even just pour water into it like watering a plant and it will spread out along the bottom, soak in, and gradually evaporate up into the air without even making the surface damp where your snake hangs out. Coco husk is a good choice for doing that.

Then you can create a humid hide by partially burying a hide in your substrate, and it will be more humid because it will be closer to the moist lower layers.

You can buy a $10 humidifier on Amazon made by AGPtek its small and all you do is lay it in water and it will raise your humidity.
