Ok one thread is enough for this, don't start another thread.

You need to resize the picture you're trying to use as an avatar. It has to be 120 x 150 pixels or less.

You need to get a picture editing software and have the pic you want as an avatar resized. If you do not know how to do this have someone show it to you :)

Go to the Off topic forum, look for a topic named "Picture Sizing." You should be able to do it your self from that point.
