It seems unlikely to have gotten mites from a 'bark' hide that most certainly came from a warehouse via Amazon....mites need snakes to survive. Now IF the
hide of natural material like tree-or-cork bark came from a pet store, that might be another matter...

How long have you had this snake?

I went through this. I used both a snake spray and an enclosure spray. After the second application, it was pretty much gone. I followed the directions of both sprays to the letter. Ironically I threw out my log hide and anything else made of wood. The whole process was easy and my initial panic was unwarranted. So don't get too upset it'll get better fast.

I’ve had her for about three weeks and prior to putting the hide in, she was fine! So I truly don’t know where it all came from.

Thank you! I got her some reptile spray thing off amazon (had good reviews) so I’m gonna use that on her and the enclosure.

Here's what I used. One on left for enclosure, one on right for snake. Plus I put Pi in the pic because pics of noodles are cool. :)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6d9a981e33.jpg

That’s the exact reptile spray I bought off amazon! I’ll have to buy one for her enclosure.
I just feel so bad for her! Mites gotta suck.

That stuff works. I'd put him in a tub with a white towel while doing the enclosure with the other stuff. The Wipe Out can't go on the snake so I'd have to wait awhile after cleaning to return him. When I did, all the dead mites could be seen on the white towel in the tub.

Then she had mites when you got her...she brought them home & it took this long for them to multiply enough for you to see (notice) them. Sorry, but it happens.

It takes a little time for them to reproduce new generations but when they do their numbers go up exponentially & you finally saw them.

Pay close attention where you buy a snake from...many places are risky, like us going to a grammar school & NOT getting the latest virus...;)

Ugghhh that’s so :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r:ty. I haven’t seen any mites on her today, I’m hoping this spray stuff is working. I guess only time will tell!
