Sorry to hear you have to deal with all this drama from different directions at the same time - it truly compounds one uopn the other. :tears:

I have no idea how your ex feels about the snakes but might it not avoid problems getting something that takes a bit longer before getting to a large size? ( just to avoid extra problems in the future?)

Trust me I know the feeling and have been dealing with it myself...

but i too am confused and kinda miffed as to how you are trading in ine large species of snake for another. I could see if you said I’m getting 2 hognose or corns or something ...

to me its like saying yea I traded my Rottweiler for a puppy Doberman or something. I get the puppies are small now but everything grows up my friend

seems like you are setting yourself up for further issue and will have to once again rehome 2 snakes very soon. Sorry if I am missing something

OK I missed this the first time. You traded burms for retics because the retics were small? :tears: Rainbow was 5 lbs and 7 feet long 6 months ago. Now she is over 10 feet and 28lbs. That is a 3+ feet and 23lbs gain in 6 months. I don't consider that slow. An RTB would have been the way to go if you want something that grows slow or a smaller species.
