    Also make sure to feel under the stomach and the head of the mouse to see if it's thawed completely. If it's been sitting in warm/hot water then it shouldn't feel colder than the rest of the body.

    A rat's body temperature is around 97-99 degrees. Your f/t rat should be the same.

    Use your temp gun to check the rat's temperature before you attempt to feed. If it's low, use your hair dryer to raise the temp. Heating the head is the most important in my limited experience.
