Such a big boy! Doesn't seem overweight to me, but he sure is a gorgeous snake! Would be interesting to see if his offspring would be the same size as well! I just got a female because I wanted one that would later grow to be a bigger size, but hey, I suppose my one male may one day be too!

My male pied is around the same weight and he eats a small rat a week. It's more than enough even for the big boys.

I would cut back rat size and frequency. I wouldnt say obese but he does have that maximum stuffed sausage look but could also partially be from the recent meal and need to poop.
This is my 2000g+ male thats this thick on a small rat every 7-10 days. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1dc8ce544a.jpg

Not obese, but getting there in my opinion. I have a male that takes mediums and He's only 1100g or so and growing, but I only feed him once a month. If I were feeding bi weekly I'd go with a small, and honestly I'm not sure a male past 1000g even needs to or should eat weekly. I recently moved and to cut costs I have been feeding my snakes a bit less often, and honestly they are doing just fine and look a bit healthier to my eyes.
