Re: Anybody use eco earth or other substrate for big snakes
https://www.chewy.com/zoo-med-forest...ress/dp/123781 is what I use for all my snakes. Love the humidity and odder control. I spot clean from time to time and complete clean at least once a month. Sure it cost a little more but my snakes seam to like it and I just add it to my monthly dog food order of 160lbs of dog food. My order is usually 160lbs of dog food (4 bags of 40lbs and 6 bags of https://www.chewy.com/zoo-med-forest...ress/dp/123781) That is 2 Great Danes and 1 husky as well as 6 snakes including 1 large retic. LOL. Love my babies. I always put about 2 inches of substrate down. Some of them like to burrow and cant do that on paper. Just my preference.

I use cypress (forest floor) for everyone in my collection. But I am considering trying something different just to explore options.

I use paper which is great for easy cleanup but it obviously don’t help with humidity lol. Photos would be great of everyone’s bedding and setups 😁

I use paper but my largest enclosures don't have a problem holding humidity.

Paper for my burm. Zero impaction risk/don't believe in feeding my burm dirt. Humidity is no problem with water bowl and PVC cage for housing.
