    Glad you have finally seen the light :D Seems like you get the point that heating elements should not come into direct contact with a reptile for any reason. The heat emitter should work great...are you going to us a UTH with it also? Let us know how the new setup turns out.

    I'm using a UTH with that, too. Do you suggest one of those heat bulbs or a ceramic heat emitter?

    I would go with the heat emitter....because you can leave that on all the time unlike a heat lamp.

    I'm probably goin' with the heat emitter, but just out of curiosity, can't you leave the lights that are like a blue color on all day that say 'night' on the box and imitate moonlight on all the time?

    I would go with the heat emitter too, they cost a little more but last 3-5x times longer.
