In my experience is that are around the hide and not in it and leave it soon after you put them I'm it then the heat could be building up to hugh within the hide. Use a thermometer/temp gun to test and if the heat is just right that wI'll more than likely stay in it. I have also learned if the hide is to tall or large they don't feel secure and will constantly leave it seeking out refuge. When I replaced a hide for one of my girls with a smaller darker hide now she never leaves it. Good luck friend
