i googled "reptile light guard" and one of the hits was ebay. there's a bunch on there and a quick scroll, i found this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Reptile-Amp...YAAOSwR9pbIN2o per the pictures, it's supposed 15cm which is like 5.9inches (but the descriptions below says 5.12cm :/ ) also they do look like minnow traps lol.

i also like the idea a fashioning hardware as Star mentioned. here are some light guard options from Home Depot. u use a screw to tighten them around the neck of the light fixture instead of the base.:

me - i would just go to LLLreptiles, get this overly large guard and call it a day: http://www.lllreptile.com/products/3...ght-cage-cover it's a 6.25inch cube all the away around. they have storefronts in SoCal.

Thaaaaank you!! I’m stressing out about this nonsense and I am the LEAST handy person ever😂😂😂

I turned the cage upside down to make it easier. But easy it is not[emoji23]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f088797b73.jpg

I guess I could take the fixtures out and install my rhp if I have to, but I like that it has a fluorescent light installed already for a day/night cycle. I’m making this way harder than it needs to be[emoji23]
