    In Florida, you need a permit to sell any reptile. Retics are just regulated along with burmese pythons, (some) scrub pythons, rock pythons, green anaconda, etc - these are all conditional species requiring a permit to keep.

    I read that these snakes went to a licensed facility. They are not listed as invasive here so they may have been given a chance. More than likely a licensed reptile store or sanctuary took them in. Kamp Kenan is in the Palm Beach area who has been known to take in rescues from FDW.
