Re: Star Pythons and/or Rogue Reptiles
I haven't bought from either Star or Rogue but have talked extensively with Josh at Star and Owen at Rogue. They're both very reputable and I don't think you could go wrong with either. There's quite a few great carpet breeders out there. I think Rage Beard Reptiles produces Bredli and he's a member on the forum. Eric Burke at EB Morelia and Hesham at Magic Carpet Pythons are some other names that come to mind but Nick Mutton is still the godfather of Morelia. :)

Awesome!! Thanks Ziggy!!
I've been exploring, loving what I'm seeing. Gonna be so hard to finally decide. Loving some of the Brisbane Coastals I'm seeing from Nick...I almost want to narrow it down to a few and pick from a hat! Hahahhaa

This exactly, when it come to carpet Nick is the man, amazing animals, keeps track of lineage which is a must in the carpet world and sadly not many do.

True, very true. He's a sensational guy to speak with. I've spent a long time on the phone with him and he was wonderful.
Nick and Ed work with each other from time to time. If Justin Julander is still in the business http://www.australianaddiction.com/Home.html, (Co author THE COMPLETE CARPET PYTHON) he is known for top quality stuff.
Or, you can buy a mutt like I did at a local show and wind up with something silly like this. She was under $100 but worth a million dollars to the kids and me. As Deborah mentioned, keeping a history of the various carpets and locales is important. I'd never breed this girl. She is just a pet that I cherish here.

Unless you are looking for a specific morph or locale, IMO there is no such thing as a crappy carpet python.
Beautiful Coastal mutt LOL!

For personal reasons, I avoid the JAG gene.
Re: Star Pythons and/or Rogue Reptiles
I bought my carpet from Jason Baylin (sire owner) but it was coproduced by Owen @ rogue (dam owner). I've run into Owen a few times at local shows and he has been great to chat with about the lineage of my snake and potential future breeding for her.
My next one will probably come from inland, rouge, or eb Morelia. More than likely it will be one of the ones local so I don't have to pay shipping.
