Ya as she has gotten bigger she sheds in several pieces... I usually soak her after she sheds for about 30 minutes in warm water

That is interesting to know I wonder why a GC would have complications shedding? :confusd:

Ya.. at 4½ft+ she doesn't shed in one or two pieces more like 4 to 6 and humidity is in the 70% or higher

My GC Tiger male has never had a single issue shedding. Everytime is a complete one piece shed. Saying that I am extremely persistent with keeping humidity higher when I notice a shed cycle, also a soak just after coming out of blue. I do this with all my retics and burm. Everyone has a single piece shed.

Maybe the tub is too small for my GC ? The humidity in the tubs when it's in the blue is well over 80% close to 90% her last 3 sheds have been in 4-6 pieces but not flakes so I'm thinking she maybe doesn't have enough of a rough area to get it in one shed...
My other two that are smaller not GC shed in one piece but are smaller

I doubt its the cage. Like i said, others i have seen with GC have shed issues too. Maybe its because the other guys' GC has tiger in it? Snakes dont need a lot of room to shed. My 7 foot and 6 foot boas are able to shed in 1 piece inside their hides lol. They roll it up like a sock.

But as for tubs, i personally hate them lol. What's the point in having the snake if you dont have it displayed in a nice big glass or acrylic fronted cage. From a breeders standpoint, i can see the uses but from a pet keeper, if you dont have the room or are too cheap to buy a nice cage, then dont buy the snake. Thats just my feeling. Sorry for the rant lol.

I can't see putting a 3 ft snake in a 6ft cage so the tubs work for me in my opinion I've learn that people have different ways of keeping retics In general.. example there are some people do ambient temperature which means these set the room. Temp for 83-85 runs fans an that's it an it works beautifully .... I wish I could do that but don't have a extra room to use but in my opinion that's the best way.....

Regarding the shedding I agree with you.. tiger may have a impact on it since it's not GC alone
