    Re: Mojave color variations?
So I was at a local breeder and I was asking him to explain the “mojave pattern” to me and he said that mojave “dosnt have a patern” he said it was just a color mutation , but I feel like most mojaves have a specific pater with the alien heads . Now I’m so confused as how to tell what about my mojave banana pewter shows her mojave .

So I guess what I’m getting at Is there a specific pattern for mojave ????

The breeder should probably not be breeding if he told you that.

Mojave is mostly a pattern mutation, and causes the "cheerio" effect along the sides of the snake, as opposed to the "alien head" effect on most other bps. The color of most mojaves tends to be dark at birth, with yellow markings on the sides and dorsal area. This all fades as they age, but pattern remains the same.

Thank you that’s what I thought ! The breeder I got my girls off of wasn’t the breeder who told me that it’s the breeder I get my rats from. He kinda made me feel stupid for saying it .

She does, see the o pattern running along her sides? Dead givaway. This tends to show up in some form in almost all mojave combos.

Awesome, sounds like you got quite the deal after all. Yellowbelly is a great gene, it enhances almost anything it's paired with, adds contrast and color.
