After he ate the first 3 or so fine, I thought it was all good until he refused these last two weeks! I just don't know if I should try to stick with changing him to rats (little more expensive if they keep going to waste :rat: ), or I could go back to mice since I know he likes those. O R maybe he's just fasting and he likes the rats idk lol.
Nice talkin to you again Dakski!

    How much does he weigh?

He could be hitting a temporary wall growth wise and it can be normal for a fast then.

May have nothing to do with the rats.

If if he took three he will probably happily take more when ready. I would not, personally, offer mice.

How often do you feed? You probably said, but I might have missed.

If you feed every week. Offer every 2-4 for a while until he eats again and assuming he’s a good weight.

He weighed in at 706g when I last weighed him a couple days ago (15th). Which is actually 40g down from the last weight at 6-30. I feed every Thursday, but I'll start every 2-3 with rats! (That all sound ok?) Thank ya thank ya

At that weight, I would be feeding small rats. you would have to feed 2-3 mice to keep him full.

Additionally, he can go a long time at that weight without food. If he refuses again, offer less often, and he will take a rat sooner than later.

Shayna hit a wall at about 900-1000G and started refusing meals and began winter fasts. Again, being a female, normal to be a little higher in weight when she began giving me issues with feeding. For a male, he seems at just that size.

Not all do it and he could just be having an off week, etc. However, don't be worried or surprised if he refuses for a bit.

    Good luck!
