    oh thanks shelby. i was wonderin the same thing frankykeno, my adult male doesnt have those spots anymore and my 2 year old female doesnt have as much as she did when i got her at a few months old.

    Besides adding a unique look to your snake, it is also one of the markers of a yellow belly.

    A true yellow belley has flames all along the sides. Look at a belly shot of a yellow belly and you will see the extreme flames.

    Certain flames characterize yellow bellies along with other traits.


    Just because a bP has flames does not make it a yellow belly.

    This will explain how to identify a yellow belly.

    ....and unless you purchased the animal as a yellowbelly....chances are you dont have a yellowbelly (AKA het Ivory) :)

    Your's is missing the clear belly and the yellow tinted sides.

    Very nice animal though.
