    Hides don't have to be expensive or good looking, functional is more important Yuri's favorite hides were from Bob Evans mashed potatoes I just cut a hole in the side, best wishes hope you and your noodle have a wonderful life together :P

    I'll start by saying I'm a new owner also, so congrats! As for the kind of harsh attitudes telling you you're doing everything wrong and you should have done more research, remember, this is an Internet forum, it wouldn't be normal if someone didn't tell you everything wrong you're doing! I read books, articles, watched videos, and contacted breeders, before I brought a snake home, and was still confused because all the different info out there. If you're like me, you've fallen in love with your pet, and want him or her to be happy and healthy and would do nothing to intentionally harm them so you're still asking questions. That's the most important thing you can do, keep learning. Your enclosure may be a little hot and it probably needs another hide. And before switching to aspen, which I started with, try one of the coconut husk substrates because they hold humidity much better. Congrats again and don't take anything on here to heart. 3 days ago I asked a feeding question that caused 3 pages if name calling!
