I find that waiting 15-30 minutes between offering is usually enough time for her to get the first rat down, and I spend that time heating up the second rat to the correct temps.
And this is what I was looking for...peace of mind :) Thanks!

If it were me, and I had rats still available I would offer a mouse, and then try a rat. That's of course if you're still trying to switch.
If you've indeed got a mouser then mice it is.
Either way, I would wait about 15-20 minutes after he drags the first one into his hide to offer another.

Well I tried feeding the 2nd night in a row w/ a smaller mouse....
1st night (28grams) and 2nd night (18 grams) and he happily took both. Went downstairs and he was still poking his head out as if he was saying 'where's the next?!?!?'......
I'll refrain from feeding again until next weekend but this is such a different feeding response then what I'm used to!! It's great!

I have two dedicated mousers that drive me nuts! My female was 2800 grams at the start of the breeding season this year and believe me it took many mice to get her to that size! I've tried everything, can't even trick her into eating a rat. I feed live and it's much easier. I drop one in the tub and check back in about 10 minutes. If it's still there I remove it and offer it to another snake. If they take it then usually once they get it down into their belly they let me know if they want another one.
I actually put a binder clip on the tubs when I feed. I move it to the right side of the tub when I drop in a rat. I move it to the middle if they eat and move it to the left if they don't eat. If they eat one and are looking like they want another I'll flip up the metal clip on the binder clip so I know if I have an extra they are ready for a second one. If there are three binder clips on the middle of the tub it means that that snake ate three rats.
Feeding live is much easier, frozen thawed is a bit tougher. The best way is to have multiple snakes and thaw out enough rodents for half of them. then in a few days feed the other half. You'll have more hungry snakes and less left over rodents that way. Or you can try to feed your picky snakes first, then follow up with your more aggressive feeders.
