    I think its the same way plenty of us can simultaneously have a freezer full of rats and also a few special ones as pets. It just comes downto being able to accept that humans are omnivores at the top of the food chain. I dont like the idea of anything having to be killed but thats just a fact of life and as long as its done humanely then I have no problems. I also have pet chickens for eggs but definitely eat my fair share of nonpet chickens as well.

    yay! hypocrisy! i don't eat pork because pigs are pets and highly intelligent and friendly creatures; vastly smarter than dogs. but if there's bacon i'll eat that no questions asked. :confusd: :rolleyes: :cool:

    Let's not ignore the other end of that spectrum. Any rodent that bites me or even tries is instant snake food! We are emotional beings.

    This. The gator was so heavily spiced though I could barely taste the meat.
