I handle the snake maybe once a week to check her out and make sure she’s looking good and that there are no physical issues . When I handle her I don’t handle her before feeding .usually 2 to three days after when I got through the cage to check for poop and fluff their substrate and move it around to make sure there is no siting mold or anything .

My husbandry is pretty spot on I try to keep them at 50% humidity and their hot and cool are regulated by herpstat 2.

As far as her being secure shes got two completely blacked out hides and a third hide in the middle of her cage. And the sides of her cage aren’t see through just the front and lights are always set on dim .

Thanks for the response and tips I appreciate it

Ok, sounds good. I might still add some fake plants just for more clutter. I didn't realize you had a pvc stack like that, that thing looks great!!!

I actually bought my girl Skittles (banana Bp) from Chun February 1st so I have a bit of insight, yes I was having inconsistent feeding at first with my girl, then I learned she would only eat if I left the rat in her cage lol. Now....waiting 7 days kills her cause she’s ALWAYS roaming around hunting lol, she’s a tad skittish around me but my husband has a touch for Bananas for some reason, her BF Bubbles is the same way around me but not for him. Lol
But what is different is that these two I got from Dynasty are one and two months younger from my Cinny I have and close to 30-40 grams heavier BUT every beep grows at different rates. Now both my BEL and Banana strike with purpose lolhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f766323d42.jpg

I keep my humidity between 60-90% all the time, 24/7. Snakes shed perfect sheds effortlessly, like they are unzipping their pajamas. I keep the temperature gradient from 78-91 degrees. They all eat regularly. Its like having houseplants, lol

What kind of bedding do you use ? Someone earlier made a good point maybe I should get somthing that holds humidity more ? I use aspen right now , but there monthly clean out is coming up

Coconut substrate. I also keep a 9 gallon cool evaporate humidifier running in the snake room, with the humidistat set at 60%. No messing around. Lol

Ha! No, you can keep a single snake on coconut substrate, mist as needed with a spray bottle, and run a humidifier nearby when the air is dry. I like it a little humid mysekf. Keeps my sinuses from drying out in the winter.

Something to help with humidity -- switch the aspen out for coco chip or coco husk products. They hold humidity extremely well. Putting sphagnum moss in a hide is also helpful, though the coco husk will improve overall humidity.

Out of curiosity, what are you using as a heat source?
