Just up the rep until your uth reads 90. I have to set my jumpstart at 94 to get a 90 reading at the glass.

I was having major issues with that too and since I’m new to snake keeping I always thought my snake was gonna die trust the temp gun my thermostat is a couple of degrees off and it’s set to about 87 and my UTH is reading 90 so the thermostat isn’t going to be perfect my UTH does fluctuates like my thermostat wouldn’t turn on until my Matt reads to like a 85 and turns the UTH off at 90 so it won’t be perfect as long as it’s lowest isn’t like 80 or something and its hottest isn’t past 90 I think you’re good but I’m fairly new too soooo.... I would trust what other people say [emoji23] I have A CHE on the cold end to get it to 75 and my snake seems to be happy always hiding in his cave thing

So.....I tried out what the nice people on here suggested and replaced my substrate with coco fiber bedding. I have also been covering the top of the tank with some spare cork flats I have from when I insulated the sides of the tank. I have only managed to get the humidity up about ten percent. It has been hovering around 29% and I have to spray it regularly to get it to get anywhere close to being acceptable. The only other thing I can think of trying now is adding cypress mulch to the mix and seeing if that helps. I am wondering if it has something to do with the heater constantly being on in the classroom due to the cold weather. I don't really have control over whether or not it comes on...suggestions?

I am particularly concerned because my girl just have her first shed and it was rough. It took a little over ten days from the time she first went in blue and I had to help her finish. It took a couple of baths and I got most of it off, but she has some stuck to her nose that wont budge and half an eye cap with is the most alarming. I plan on trying the pillowcase method tomorrow because I am not sure what else to do...tips?

You can kind of see it in this pic. That upside down y over her eye. It only covers the left side of the eye.
