Re: Dumeril's Boa won't eat, again!
I would imagine if she has no hides or substrate to burrow in, that is likely contributing to her fasting. Dumeril's are shy snakes and need to feel secure. Even if it means you don't see her much, it is what is best for your snake.

No, I don't have any substrate expect paper towels... I did put her in a substrate that allow her to borrow inside but that all what she did, borrow inside and never come out.
I agree totally that they do feel its winter, the air and atmosphere pressure. But if the snakes are underfed surely they won,t stop eating in the winter, because their need for food is bigger

Wow I never hear about boas going off food. That is odd. They are garbage disposals. Mine all eat every time offered. My Dum won't eat while in shed but never misses a meal otherwise.
I would really take a closer look at your husbandry.
Re: Dumeril's Boa won't eat, again!
Though I myself am quite an amateur Dumerils keeper (got her at Raleigh repticon 11/17), I HAVE learned that my "Snuggles" is a very private eater. I don't feed her in her cage, she eats in a covered tote, in a low lit, quiet place. I set her in her tote with a f/t rat pup, and come back after maybe 30 mins to a Dumerils with a little lump after she "Snuggles with rats". Not sure how you feed yours, but thats working for me so far.
