Can you take snakes outside?

I was just thinking how "I" would definitely NOT EVER go outside with raptors like that around, never mind the snakes, lol...

I take mine outside for a little here and there when the weather is nice. I just stay very close by if I set them down. I dont have quite the prey animals as some of our other members, but hawks, skunks, rabbits, squirrles, raccoons, etc... even neighborhood cats are enough that I stay close by. My Kingsnake is definitely quick too, so I dont really let him down much. The snakes definitely seem to enjoy the outdoor time and it makes for some great photo oops.

As longs the weather is right, warm, but not roasting temperatures. (76-90 F), and you make sure the snake can't escape. Its all good! They really seem to enjoy it, coming out fo their manmade enclosure to romp in the great outdoors a bit.

I just avoid letting the redneck neighbors see them, as they seem to think all serpents are of the devil and deserve instant death.

I knew a guy who worked security and when he did his rounds at the place he worked there was a wild rabbit that he would feed every day. One day that rabbit came up to him real close and he was feeding it lettuce and all of the sudden out of nowhere a hawk came down and snatched up that rabbit right from in front of his feet. I'm sure it's pretty rare for that to happen but I'd keep an eye out for birds if I were to take a snake out of the house LOL.

I thought it was hilarious. Apparently so did the camera man. I put the warning for people like my wife and daughters who failed to see the humor in it. It's the circle of life as far as I'm concerned.

Graphic's literal definition, would be if it was close-up and blood and guts spattered out of the bunny. In this video, you can basically see absolutely nothing except a hawk fly down and fly up. I guess it could be considered minimally graphic due to the squeaking sounds.:rofl:
