How Bizarre Is This?

Just a little side story, regarding "Numbers".

My childhood friend got killed on February 22. Many years ago.

We were SO close. More like sisters, twins even. Always together, always laughing, on the phone with each other, if not together. We always said we'd sill be laughing when sitting together in rocking chairs as old grand mas..

So she got killed on 2-22.

Even though it has now been many years, to this day I ALWAYS see "222" everywhere and all the times. I can wake up in the middle of the night and look at the clock, its 2:22 am. I'm driving in the car and just so happen to look at the clock. Its 2:22 pm. I can be at some office and look at the wall LED clock. 2:22 pm. Not always clocks, either, its just the combination of 3 "2's".

I see those numbers all the time. I don't think I'm just making myself look at a clock because its that time, because I can wake up out of deep sleep and there it is. And every time I see it, I think of her. That's why I never miss the anniversary of her death. That date is burned into my brain.

Yes... The only logical explanations for the malfunction itself that I can think of would be perhaps either the battery needs changed or maybe something is shorting out internally. The batter is only about 1 year old and this has been happening since quite awhile ago within the past year, though. Either way, I have no explanation for why the numbers 666 would come up... I should call the manufacturer and ask them if they've had any other reports of it happening. Maybe someone at the factory has a twisted sense of humor and programmed some of them to give that reading when something malfunctions? I don't know...

I could see a programmer finding that funny lol... using it as an "error message" so to speak.

LOL! I should list it for $666.00...

I tracked the company down and I was going to call them, but as it turns out, they are based in China (go figure...). So, I sent them the following email:

    Hello,
Quite a few years ago I purchased one of your DT-8810 infrared Thermometers. Over the past few months when I squeeze the trigger to turn it on, sometimes it will read, "666" and it won't get off of the screen until after i've squeezed the trigger a few more times... Definitely very weird! The only logical explanation I can think of would be that perhaps someone in the factory had a twisted sense of humor and programmed it to throw up that code for some reason. Is that possible? The thermometer still works perfectly fine other than that and I don't want a replacement or anything. I'm just trying to find a logical explanation for why it would be doing something so weird. Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.
Hopefully I will hear back from them...

I'm pretty sure Satan is behind the whole credit score system. No matter what I do I can't ever get mine to go up and i've never had any credit debt in my life. What kills me is how all of the scammer insurance companies are allowed to base premiums off of credit scores and so are a lot of employers. It's absurd! How 'bout insurance companies stop raping people, employers pay their employees more and we get the cost of living down then maybe people will have enough money to actually be able to pay their bills and get their credit scores up!?
