I personally offer each of my new snakes once while in shed. So far, only my King has accepted and I continue to feed him when he's in shed.
If they refuse I never offer again while in blue. They always eat the day after a shed though and I start the feeding cycle again on whichever day that was. They aren't going to miss a meal while in shed.
In your situation, without the luxury of a freezer available, I would wait. It won't hurt your snake.
