I dont think i could ever rehome any of my 'kids'. I've gotten too used to them all.

Oh man....I couldn't, I just couldn't. I understand though. Ugh...I'm having the knot just thinking about you doing it. Good luck.

I'm sorry you are releasing one of you own but I am sure it will go to a loving home.

Yes, it took me months to finally go for it. I feel it is for the best, in this case.

Yes, some of us get very attached. I am not that type though.

Re: Re-Homing Ragnarok, an emotional weekend.
So it is done! Ragnarok went to be with her new keeper. A lovely 16 year old lady who was grinning ear to ear as she held her first snake! She was ecstatic. She LOVED the care-sheet and the fact that I had the Terrarium completey set up and thermostatically controlled environment. (the best Terrarium that I have ever seen on Craigslist!);):D
The snake and the owner look like they will both be very happy, and now I can focus all my attention on my prized breeders, and my custom-built breeding rack. (no more glass tank, no more heating lamp, no more unlocking the screen cover, all that, just tuning up the rack and handling my beauties.)
Now that Raggy is re-homed, I have room for my next female breeder, and I am so EXCITED to finally get her. I am waiting until after the Christmas shipping season, so there is less chance of a shipping problem. (Thanks Deborah, for the tip on not shipping during December).
Peace Ragnarok, may the Husbandry Gods be with you!:snake:

You did good :)
I have no problem with re-homing if there is a reason for it. As long as its done right.
To many people dump animals, to make room for more or new ones.
If you take the time to find a REALLY good home, then there is nothing wrong with it, as long as your heart can bear it ;)
The snake will be a treasured pet and make someone really happy. That is how we create more responsible keepers in our hobby !!
This young lady will be so happy with a well adjusted and acclimated Ball Python.

Hopefully the new owner will find her way to this forum and keep you updated on Ragnarok's new home and progress! Good luck with the breeding!

Making sure the newbie has access to BPNet or more inclined, the snakes reddit will be a blessing for them. Several people here also post over there.
